The rumour mills have been going into overdrive for a potential 10-year reunion special for Geordie Shore and now cast member James Tindale has confirmed the news.

The reality star, who quit the series in 2015 before returning in 2019, said the special will be going ahead and producers are currently working around the lockdown restrictions.

Speaking exclusively to OK! online, the 30 year old explained: "We're in talks to do a reunion show, I think that'll be amazing to see all the old faces.

"There been a few restrictions because of Covid and travelling, we were meant to be going abroad but I think they're working around it now, we're just waiting to hear."

The Newcastle native went on to share that he is looking forward to reuniting with all of the old faces as they no longer get to see one another as much.

He continued: "Obviously it is a milestone and it will be good to catch up with everyone.

"We don't always see each other a lot and I know a couple of the girls have moved down South. People are getting married, people are having babies, so a lot of our lives compared to then are completely different."

Geordie Shore first burst onto our screens in May 2011 and James can't believe it's nearly been ten years since it all began for him.

"It kind of feels like forever ago but at the same time, it doesn't feel like that long ago. We didn't even expect it to go on TV, let alone be 20 series down the line," he expressed.

"We kind of thought, 'We're just gonna have a laugh and then we'll go back to normal life, no one's gonna know.' But to be 10 years on, it's madness."

The fitness coach explained that no matter how much time passes, the cast members will always have a close bond because of the experiences they shared.

James divulged: "We've got a bond that we'll never lose, because we went through that phase all together and all of our lives changed at the same time.

"When we finished watching the first series, we all sat down and were crying because we made friends for life and we didn't want to leave each other."

It was previously reported that the reunion special, which was said to be happening in Colombia, was in 'chaos' after cast threatened to quit over quarantine rules.

A source told The Sun: "It's caused utter chaos and the cast have all kicked off – some are threatening to quit over it.

"The thing is, it's almost added a month onto the job and while it will be fun to film, it means some of them have had to cancel important jobs and won't be able to see their boyfriend and girlfriends for an extra two weeks after being away for filming.

"Everyone wants to make the series happen but it's a nightmare with all the new rules and keeping everyone safe," the insider explained.

James is currently running his own coaching and fitness business, which includes tailored workouts, meal plans and so much more. Visit jamestindalefitness.com for more information.
