Helen Flanagan ‘to spend Christmas’ with ex Scott Sinclair but there’s ‘no chance’ of reunion

Helen Flanagan will reunite with her ex fiancé Scott Sinclair over the Christmas period “for the sake of their children” but there is “no chance” of them reconciling, OK! has been told.

The couple announced their split after 13 years together in October, and while it was a heartbreaking decision for them, they are keen to keep things amicable for their kids Matilda, seven, Delilah, four, and one-year-old Charlie.

“Despite the split, Helen always wants Scott in their children’s lives,” our source said. “She’s very fond of him and they get on well.”

Helen recently took their three children to watch their dad play football, but pals have said they can’t see the pair rekindling.

“There is no chance of them getting back together,” our source continued. “She wants him to be around for Christmas so they’ll do something as a family. She wants the best for the kids. Scott is busy with football and will have a fixture on Boxing Day.

"But she does want the kids to see him as much as possible. She recently took them to a match, so she’s really making that effort.”

It’s been reported that Helen ended her relationship with 33-year-old Scott when she returned from South Africa after filming I’m A Celebrity All Stars.

But an Instagram post from August, where she was celebrating her birthday, appears to suggest the couple had already split as she was without her engagement ring.

While some fans were shocked by the split, the writing had been on the wall for a while for the couple, with hands-on mum Helen admitting back in May that they hadn’t shared a bed for seven years as she co-sleeps with the children.

Also adding strain to their relationship was Scott’s career as he moved 180 miles away from his family to play for Bristol Rovers.

A separate source said, “Uncertainty over Scott’s footballing career and the fact they haven’t been able to spend much quality time together has put a strain on their relationship.

"The children are their world and main priority, and they will always ensure nothing affects them. Helen has been putting herself out there, it’s very much business as usual in her career and she won’t allow issues in her personal life to bring her down.”

Earlier this year, Helen’s diamond engagement ring, which Scott gave to her when he proposed in 2018, snapped, which Helen took to be a bad omen.

The actress, who’s said to believe in “all things spiritual”, reportedly saw it as sign that the relationship had run its course.

But that’s not to say that the star, 32, who played Rosie Webster in Coronation Street for almost two decades before leaving the soap back in 2018, is loving life as a singleton.

In fact, she admitted recently that she’s “bored” of being on her own at night. The star told her Instagram followers, ‘I’m sick of watching Netflix! I am bored!”

Let’s hope Helen finds something to keep herself entertained soon!
