Holly Willoughby to miss This Morning for 2 weeks to film new show, Phillip confirms

Holly Willoughby fans have shared how puzzled they are after the This Morning presenter failed to turn up to the show this morning, 17 January 2022.

The 40 year old, who recently stunned in a blue gown for the launch of Dancing On Ice, left Phillip Schofield to present the show alongside Rochelle Humes just one week after the pair both returned from their Christmas break.

Fans flocked to Twitter to question where she is as one person joked: "Was DOI too exhausting for Holly? #thismorning," while another questioned: "With who cos phil was on with holly last night so if holly is off then so will phill".

Phillip explained the reason behind Holly's absence shortly after though as he shared she would be off for two weeks filming for her BBC show.

"She's off with the ice man with the BBC at the moment, she's off for two weeks as Rochelle keeps her seat warm," he said.

Holly's pal Rochelle, 32, also shared she would be replacing Holly on her Instagram page as she posted a series of snaps of her outfit for her 2.2million followers to see.

Rochelle, who recently gushed over returning a sentimental holiday spot 10 years on, looks stunning in the pictures as she dons a pair of leather-imitation trousers with a white turtleneck and strappy heels.

With her mane styled down to frame her face, the star told her fans: "Back at @thismorning," with a brown heart emoji.

She continued: "In for my girl @hollywilloughby for the next few weeks… [stars emoji] Hope to see you at 10," followed by a celebration hands emoji.

Holly was reported to be given two weeks off by ITV bosses so she can co-host Wim Hof’s Superstar Survival with Lee Mack.

According to The Sun, Holly was set to fly to Southern Europe for the BBC show, but will be returning weekend to present Dancing On Ice.

Holly was a hit when she joined Declan Donnelly as his temporary sidekick on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! for the 2018 series after Ant McPartlin took a break from presenting.

A source told the publication: “Holly did an excellent job filling in for Ant and was one of the highlights of the show that year.

“However, she absolutely loves This Morning and her on-screen partnership with Phillip, so isn’t going anywhere long-term. She’s just grateful ITV bosses are giving her the freedom to do her own projects.”
