Watch the trailer for Disney’s Haunted Mansion
With Hollywood icons Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh for parents Jamie Lee Curtis is bona fide Hollywood royalty.
However, the star, whose latest movie The Haunted Mansion hits cinemas today, also has a British aristocratic title thanks to her husband, who she wed in 1984.
The Oscar winning 64-year-old is married to Christopher Guest, 75, the Spinal Tap star who has also written and directed acclaimed films such as Best In Show, Mascots and For Your Consideration.
His father was British hereditary peer, Peter Haden-Guest, fourth Baron Haden-Guest.
Upon his death in 1996, Christopher succeeded him becoming the fifth Baron Haden-Guest. This makes Jamie The Right Honourable the Lady Haden-Guest.

However, the down-to-earth Everything Everywhere All At Once star doesn’t actually use her title, telling Architectural Digest: “It has nothing to do with me.”
She did visit the House of Lords though when Christoper was sworn in as a Lord back in 1997.
For a time he actually sat in the House and in 2016 he revealed to The Guardian that it wasn’t quite what he expected.
“It wasn’t the cartoon of old men with ear trumpets. Although yes, there was an old man with an ear trumpet. But it wasn’t Downton Abbey and the Roller, none of that.
“Most of these people had no money. They didn’t have the country houses. They were regular people who had regular jobs. They were well-informed and lending their expertise. And the speeches were amazing, so I’m glad that I went,” he said.

Despite their father’s peerage, Jamie and Christopher’s children won’t inherit any title when he dies.
This is due to the rules that the title can only be passed down to men from the bloodline. The couple have two daughters Annie and Ruby, who is transgender.
However, even if Ruby identified as male, she would not qualify for the title as both she and her sister are adopted.
“Adoption was the only way for us to have a family,” Jamie told Pact’s Point of View. It becomes the viable option for you. If you want to be a family, that’s how you’re going to be it.”
As the rules stand, the heir presumptive to Christopher’s Barony is his younger brother, actor Nicholas Guest.
