Jenny Ryan is known for being a top-notch quizzer as one of the Chasers in the ITV game show The Chase. However, the star admitted her appearance on BBC Radio 2 left her needing “a lie down”.

Jenny took to Twitter to open up about her appearance on the radio show’s All Day Pop Master yesterday.

The quizzer said she made all the classic “mistakes” in view of her 95,000 followers.

She penned after taking part: “That was nerve-wracking!

“I made all the classic mistakes – picked the wrong bonus category, was ONE YEAR OUT – but I scraped the win.

“Let’s see how the other matches pan out – I’m off for a lie-down!”

Jenny took part in Ken Bruce’s popular quiz show PopMaster’s Bank Holiday Monday special.

However, despite her harsh words on her appearance, she ended up winning the competition.

She went up against broadcaster Jeremy Vine in the final of the show.

Following her win, she tweeted again about the exciting result.

Jenny wrote: “I AM THE CHAMPION, MY FRIENDS.

“Thank you for listening and supporting me today!

“What a wild ride…now to enjoy the last of the sunshine.

“Cheers to Ken Bruce and all at @BBCRadio2 – commiserations to @theJeremyVine #AllDayPopMaster.”

Jeremy also messaged Jenny after her win on the show, writing: “Congrats to Jenny!!”

Elsewhere, the host of the radio show, Ken Bruce, finally returned to the office today.

He’d been working from home since the start of the pandemic before he returned back.

Zoe Ball shared the news earlier today as she posted a picture with Ken on social media.

Alongside this, she wrote: “King Ken is BACK in Wogan House @bbcradio2.”

The Chase will be returning today as a new host of contestants take on the challenge.

Jenny is known as The Vixen on the show hosted by Bradley Walsh.

She appears alongside Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty, Paul Sinha and Darragh Ennis.

The Chase airs on ITV on weekdays at 5pm.
