Its A Sin star Olly Alexander looks very different at TV BAFTAS with bleached eyebrows

It's A Sin star Olly Alexander was showcasing a very different look as he walked the red carpet at the BAFTAs on Sunday.

The actor, 31, played the role of Ritchie Tozer on the acclaimed Channel 4 drama, which followed the lives of a group of friends during the AIDs crisis in the 1980s.

Usually sporting a short red haircut and dark brows, Olly surprised the red carpet when he arrived with bleached brows and a short hairstyle with shaved stripes into it.

The star also wowed with his outfit, wearing a long black cape dress along with fitted black trousers and a pair of chunky platform boots.

He completed his look with a spiky necklace and earrings as he was photographed posing alongside his co-stars Omari Douglas and Callum Scott Howells, who played Roscoe Babatunde and Colin Morris-Jones on the show respectively.

It's A Sin received awards for Best Editing and Best Director at last month's BAFTA Craft awards, however it failed to pick up a single award for any of its cast at tonight's ceremony, much to the annoyance of many fans.

Its nominations included Olly Alexander for Leading Actor, but he lost out to Sean Bean for his role in time.

Lydia West, who played Jill Baxter in the series, was also nominated for Leading Actress, however she lost out to Jodie Comer, who won for her role in Help.

It's A Sin stars Callum Scott Howells, David Carlyle and Omari Douglas were also all nominated in the Supporting Actor role, which ended up being won by Matthew Macfadyen for Succession.

Fans of It’s A Sin took to Twitter in their droves to vent their frustration at the shows lack of wins at the BAFTA TV Awards, which took place at London’s Royal Festival Hall.

One Twitter user wrote: "It’s A Sin was robbed. The cast and the writing were bloody brilliant. Proves that these “award shows” still have a long way to go. #Baftas2022.”

Someone else vented: "#Baftas2022 So if ignoring it’s a sin isn’t bad enough, I haven’t heard of most of the shows nominated! Shocking results tonight.”

Another social media declared that they were “puzzled” by this year’s awards, Tweeting: "Not a single award for “It’s a Sin” at a very puzzling BAFTA TV Awards. #Baftas2022.”

Before the show ended, someone else wrote: "I shall be very, VERY, V E R Y disappointed if It's A Sin doesn't win something tonight. Fuming #Baftas2022”

Another wrote: “please tell me i’m not the only one who thinks its a sin has been majorly overlooked? it undoubtedly was the best show of last year, if not one of the best shows ever”.
