Jack White‘s Third Man Records has announced the opening of their first ever Third Man Records Store outside the U.S.
The new store on Marshall Street in the heart of London’s historic Soho area will officially open on September 25.
The record label announced that some new or previously unheard music from U.K. artists like Paul Weller, David Ruffin, the Jesus & Mary Chain, Cornershop, Gina Birch of the Raincoats, and the Magic Roundabout will be released on the occasion.
Third Man Records London has been designed by Third Man founder Jack White, who recently launched Jack White Arts & Design.
It will consist of a two-level retail space, an intimate live music venue named “The Blue Basement,” and a European headquarters for Third Man Records.
A Third Man Books token-operated lucky dip book machine, titled the “Literarium,” and a Third Man Records token-operated recording booth where artists and the public can record their own material straight to vinyl, will also operate there.
The London store will be the label’s third store, after stores in Nashville, Tennessee; and Detroit, Michigan.
