Taekwondo star Jack Woolley, who recently returned to Ireland after competing at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, had been enjoying a night with friends when things took a sudden turn. He revealed that he had been attacked by a group of “random junkies” which has left him needing hospital treatment.

Jack, 22, had been enjoying a night out with friends in the capital of the Republic of Ireland before going for drinks.

However, Jack’s night took a turn for the worst when he found himself being attacked before requiring hospital treatment.

Posting on his Instagram account, the Olympian shared footage of him sat in an ambulance before appearing in a hospital gown.

The Taekwondo star said that he had been walking across the street moments before he was attacked.

He went on to add that he had been punched in the mouth by what he described as “random junkies”.
