Janette Manrara shares cryptic ‘changes’ post days after baby plans with Aljaz detailed

Aljaz Skorjanec and Janette Manrara surprise Strictly fan

Janette Manrara, 37, uploaded a poignant post on “changes” while appearing to be in a reflective mood on Instagram. The Strictly Come Dancing professional shared a quote with her followers that discussed “new loves”, after revealing that she was ready to have a baby with husband Aljaz Skorjanec, 30.

The post shared with her 431,000 fans read: “Life changes. You lose love, you lose friends. You lose pieces of yourself that you never imagined you would.

“Then without realising, these pieces come back. New love enters your life, better friends come along.”

It concluded: “A stronger, wiser you is staring back in the mirror.”

The dancer captioned the post simply “guidelines” as she hinted that these life reminders would be taken into consideration.

It comes as Janette has said she will begin trying for a baby with husband Aljaz following their recent separate living arrangements, as the couple complied with Strictly Come Dancing’s COVID regulations.

The dancer admitted that it would never be the “perfect time” to start a family, but it is now “the right time” to give it a go.

She revealed: “We always wanted to have a baby, but 2020 has definitely made me say to myself, ‘You know what, Janette, it’s never going to be the perfect time but it’s always going to be the right time.’”

Janette added that it was a “scary” decision to make, as she relies on her body as a performer.

She continued: “I always thought there would be a perfect month and year, but what 2020 has made me realise is that the perfect time is never going to come along.”

The TV star insisted that she and Aljaz are “ready to be parents”.

She gushed that her husband of three years is well prepared for fatherhood, as Janette called him a “wonderful man”.

The Miami native explained to Hello! Magazine: “We’re definitely ready to be parents so we will see when that moment comes – you can’t plan it – we will be beside ourselves and Aljaz will be the best dad.”

The performer is currently celebrating a career-high as she reached the final of Strictly last month, alongside her dance partner HRVY.

However, Janette said the most difficult part of the contest was being away from her husband, as owing to COVID restrictions she was not allowed near him.

In the past, the couple have spoken of their gruelling work schedule which results in them spending extended periods apart, however, this is the first time they have lived apart.

Janette revealed: “With Strictly Come Dancing, it’s seven days a week straight through, and then the other six months of the year, we’re normally touring, so again we’re non-stop.

“We’re never really home, we only come home to repack and then leave again.”

However, with the recent lockdown forcing the closures of theatres indefinitely, many in creative industries saw their wages reduced or stopped and opportunities to perform a rarity.

Janette continued: “So although yes, financially it was tough, we did lose three tours,” she added on the Steths, Drugs & Rock’ n’ Roll podcast hosted by Dr Ranj Singh.

This year Strictly had a much shorter run time than previous years, to cut down the number of people involved and reduce the number of bubbles needing to be formed.
