In April last year, Jessie confirmed she was in a new relationship with basketball player Chanan Colman as they kissed on lunch date in LA, which came months after her miscarriage.

The pair first sparked romance rumours in March 2022 on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the Caribbean as Chanan has joined Jessie for the work trip.

Jessie took to Instagram at the time and looked cosy with Danish-Israeli professional basketball player Chanan in a group beach picture.

Months later in May, Jessie hinted that the 38-year-old veteran pro athlete is the first partner she’s been ‘properly in love’ with.

When appearing on The Diary of a CEO podcast, the Flashlight hitmaker teased fans about her love life but kept the details private.

Jessie was asked by host Steven Bartlett how many times she’d been truly in love and she replied ‘once’, answering in the present tense, hinting she saw her future settled with Chanan.

She continued: ‘Because I can actually see my life with that person and I’ve never had that before.’

Looking for more details, Steven said: ‘sounds recent?’, she grinned: ‘Maybe it is.’ but cheekily added: ‘Maybe it isn’t. Who knows? Hint.’

Jessie and Chanan have not gone red carpet official, nor have they confirmed if they are still together.

Jessie’s exciting news comes after she previously revealed in November 2021 that she had suffered a devastating miscarriage after falling pregnant with her first child.

Cradle: Jessie imitated holding a baby in her arms as she counted down the months to the birth

The singer took to Instagram to reveal she had been told she had tragically lost her unborn baby after going for her third scan, where doctors were unable to find a heartbeat.

Jessie told followers she had ‘decided to have a baby on my own’, after revealing in October she had split from her boyfriend of seven months Max Pham.

The grieving songstress said she was ‘still in shock’ but has decided to perform in Los Angeles later that week ‘because singing will help me’.

Alongside a photo of her holding a pregnancy test, Jessie wrote: ‘Yesterday morning I was laughing with a friend saying ‘seriously though how am I going to get through my gig in LA tomorrow night without telling the whole audience I am pregnant’.

Support: Jessie showed off her bump as she posed for a fun snap with her loved ones

‘By yesterday afternoon I was dreading the thought of getting through the gig without breaking down…

‘After going for my 3rd scan and being told there was no longer a heartbeat. This morning. I feel like I have no control of my emotions. I may regret posting this. I may not. I actually don’t know.’

Jessie had previously been open about suffering undiagnosed health issues, telling fans she couldn’t go through a full day without suffering considerable pain.

Romance: In April last year, Jessie confirmed she was in a new relationship with basketballer Chanan Colman as they kissed on lunch date in LA, which came months after her miscarriage

In the Instagram post, the singer went on to tell her legions of fans she wanted to ‘sing tonight’ – not to avoid grieving but because she will find comfort through music.

‘I know some people will be thinking she should just cancel it,’ she penned.

‘But in this moment I have clarity on one thing. I started singing when I was young for joy, to fill my soul and self love therapy, that hasn’t ever changed and I have to process this my way.

Sparks flying: The pair first sparked romance rumors in March 2022 on Richard Branson ‘s Necker Island in the Caribbean as Chanan has joined Jessie for the work trip

‘I want to be honest and true and not hide what I’m feeling. I deserve that. I want to be as myself as I can be in this moment. Not just for the audience but for myself and my little baby that did it’s best.

‘I know myself and I know I would talk about it on stage because that’s who I am. So instead of a tearful emotional speech trying to explain my energy. This feels safer.

‘I decided to have a baby on my own. Because it’s all I’ve ever wanted and life is short. To get pregnant was a miracle in itself and an experience I will never forget and I know I will have again.

Emotional: Jessie’s exciting news comes after she previously revealed in November 2021 that she had suffered a devastating miscarriage after falling pregnant with her first child

‘I’m still in shock, the sadness is overwhelming. But I know I am strong, and I know I will be ok.

‘I also know millions of women all over the world have felt this pain and way worse. I feel connected to those of you I know and those of you I don’t.

‘It’s the loneliest feeling in the world. So I will see you tonight LA.

‘I may crack less jokes but my heart will be in the room.’
