Jessie J has opened up the difficulties of parenthood while her partner Chanan Safir is away.

The 35-year-old songstress welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in May and has continually offered a realistic insight into her experience as a mum.

Recently, the Price Tag singer shared her exhaustion after parenting her son solo while her professional basketball player beau is away. Taking to her Instagram Stories, the pop star posted a video captured from her bedroom.

In the footage, Jessie films her son’s crib from her own bed. Over the top of the footage, she penned: “Legit haven’t slept in three days. Daddy away so all me. And he has turned into a snoring gremlin clarinet. Help.”

In a follow up post, she elaborated on her situation: “I have never been this tired in all my life. Hugging all the mums and dads doing it alone right now. Delusional, exhausted and doing your best. You the mvp [most valuable player].”

In the next story, she humorously highlighted her tiredness and added: “I just put the bottle down and fed him the lid. Nope.”

The star’s openness and commitment to offering an honest, no-holds-barred look at life with a newborn follows her pregnancy journey, where she continually kept fans in the loop on her experience throughout.

And just 11 days after giving birth to Sky, she shared a topless snap to Instagram as she celebrated her postpartum body. She posted a message of body positivity to her 13.6million Instagram followers by sharing a candid black and white image, which showed off a still-visible bump after her baby boy was born.

Jessie accompanied the snap with a lengthy caption, which read: "I’m writing this for myself as well as any one else that needs to read this. Your body was a home for someone else to live in for 9 months.

"Your organs have moved and need to find their way back to where they were before. Your uterus is still deflating slowly. Your hormones are flying and crashing. Your body is working the hardest it has ever worked. You are exhausted but you are magical.

"You grew a whole human. A human who is doing this with you and loves you beyond measure. Take your time. Be easy on yourself, your body AND your mind.”

Jessie has long been open about her desire to become a mother. Ahead of her pregnancy, she even discussed having a baby "on her own", following the devastating news she’d lost her baby.

She said: "I decided to have a baby on my own, because it’s all I've ever wanted and life is short. To get pregnant was a miracle in itself and an experience I will never forget and I know I will have again.”

Thankfully, she welcomed Sky with her partner in May of this year.
