Television star Karren Brady is no stranger when it comes to being outspoken and her latest rant certainly comes as no surprise. The businesswoman has taken aim at Boris Johnson and his cabinet, insisting that people must be able to decide for themselves as to whether they wish to be vaccinated against coronavirus.

Being vaccinated must be a personal choice.

Karren, 52, has hit out at the government, claiming they have been “as much a hindrance as a help” throughout the pandemic.

The vice-chairman of West Ham United has revealed that she suffers “nightmares” for football players who refuse to be vaccinated.

Mum-of-two Karren shared her hopes that Boris Johnson’s “libertarian instincts” will help steer the Prime Minister clear of his cautiousness.

In her latest newspaper column, The Apprentice star claimed it was “odd” to allow vaccinated football fans into stadiums to watch a match while players could be allowed in if they are not vaccinated.

Writing for The Sun, Ms Brady penned: “If vaccinations become mandatory, any players who rebel would not be eligible to take the field.

“It would help if the Prime Minister announced now that he was not going to take a hard line with these two-jab refuseniks.”

She went on to add: “Will he? No one knows, he shouldn’t, as being vaccinated must be a personal choice.

“You can see why fit young people living in a protective bubble and being tested every few days are reluctant to have it.”

The London-born business mogul admitted that many football clubs and players are currently hoping that the Prime Minister doesn’t announce mandatory vaccinations, claiming some will say “no way”.

“Dangers continue to lurk, clubs face games in Europe, while several pre-season matches have already been cancelled,” she penned.

Karren went on to share her joy after it was announced that double-vaccinated Brits will no longer have to isolate if they are pinged by the NHS Track and Trace app, should they come into contact with somebody who has tested positive for Covid-19.

However, you must have received your second dosage of the vaccine at least 14 days before coming into contact with a positive person to ensure that you are fully vaccinated.

Meanwhile, Karren recently revealed that her children, Sophia, 25, and Paolo, 22, “flatly refuse” to be vaccinated against the virus, despite her “begging”.

She said, just like them, many other young people are “hesitant”, with NHS figures showing only 18,100 under-25s a day have come forward.

Karren stated: “I have begged them both to get the jab, but neither of them will.

“They flatly refuse and cannot be persuaded.”

Karren stated that despite the lack of evidence, her two children believe that there are more risks to benefits of the vaccination.

She explained that Sophia was worried about the effects the vaccination could have on fertility before admitting that the fear is based on a rumour.

Paolo meanwhile has previously contracted coronavirus, with his only symptoms being a loss of taste and smell.

She added that her son believes he is less likely to contract the virus again and should he test positive, he wouldn’t be too ill.
