Katie Price’s dog ‘killed in horror crash’ as incident marks sixth pet to die

Katie Price has reportedly been left "in bits" after her adorable dog Sharon was killed.

The Pomeranian, who is often spotted on the former glamour model's Instagram account, was struck by a vehicle after escaping via an open gate, reports are claiming.

A motorist is thought to have found the poor pup after it was hit on the A24, then taking her to Arun Vets in Pulborough, West Sussex.

Katie, 44, is thought to be "in bits" over the death of her beloved Sharon, according to a source close to the family – with the Pomeranian being the sixth pet under the mum-of-five's care which has recently died, The Mirror reports.

The source told The Sun that it was "rotten luck" that the dog was struck on the main road after escaping from Katie's home, as the TV personality faces an online petition to get pets removed from her care.

The petition, which has been signed by more than 24,000 people, calls for the reality star to be "banned from buying animals".

In response to the petition, a rep for Katie previously told OK!: "Kate can do no right in some people's eyes.

"Kate has always been an avid pet lover and as we've mentioned before Kate would welcome a conversation with PETA organisational director, Elisa Allen, but Elisa has yet to get in touch…"

Back in 2017, one of Katie's horses was tragically killed after being struck by a vehicle, with her Alsatian, Queenie, being ran over by a delivery driver a year later.

Her pet Chameleon Marvin died of a "broken heart" the same year that her children, Princess and Junior, went to stay with their dad Peter Andre.

In 2020, Katie's Alsatian Sparkle was hit by a car, and just months after that her French Bulldog Rolo reportedly suffocated when the family's nanny sat on it.

Katie was also forced to give away her Alsatian, Bear, because it had attacked other animals.

The model currently owns chihuahuas Captain, Buddy, Colin, and Batman, as well as guard dog Blade, and is believed to be "devastated" about the petition against her owning animals.

OK! has contacted Katie's representatives for a comment.

This comes as Katie's fiancé Carl Woods announced they had split and accused her of cheating on him. Carl has also appeared to deny claims that the pair are back on after pictures emerged of them kissing and holding hands.

The former Love Island star, 34, dated the former glamour model for two years before their split this week, and took to Instagram to share some cryptic words believed to be about the rumours. He wrote: "Unless it comes from me on my platform, it's bull****."
