Notorious Hollywood nice guy Keanu Reeves, 58, made headlines in 2021 as production on his latest action-packed flick started with him gifting his stunt team engraved Rolex watches. As the film makes its cinematic debut, Express.co.uk speaks to Keanu’s stunt double, Vincent Bouillon about his time on the “dream job” and getting a personal invite to the premiere from the star himself.

The professional stuntman and award-winning martial artist is quick to praise the action star, joking that he thinks of Keanu as a stuntman too with his “amazing” set of skills.

Keanu has become notorious as one of the kindest people in Hollywood, and the French performer confirmed it couldn’t be more true.

During all the training for two months, he wanted (the stunt team) to have the best food, so he organised with people to make sure all the cooks can do the best for them.

He shared exclusively with Express.co.uk: “He’s amazing. Honestly he’s really so sweet. He’s caring of everyone.

John Wick Chapter 4 was filmed in various locations across the globe, but one of Vincent’s favourite parts was landing in his hometown of Paris to work.

He continued: “When we arrived in Paris and (Keanu) had a second, he gathered all the stunt people just to introduce himself.

“He was like:‘Hi, welcome on the movie, I’m Keanu Reeves. Thank you very much for being here today.’

“He doesn’t have to say that but he does, every time. Lovely person.”

Although the film is only coming out on March 24, Vincent hadn’t worked on John Wick, or with Keanu, for well over a year when he got a surprise text earlier this year.

He gushed: “I knew one of the premieres was supposed to be in Paris and I got a message from Keanu: ‘Hey Vincent, Keanu here. There is the premiere in Paris, I don’t know if you want to join but I’d like to invite you.’

“That was just like ‘WHAT?! Incredible!’

“The premiere was a beautiful moment. It was so much fun, Chad (Stahelski) and Keanu asked me to join them and talk about the movie, remember the good times and what happened, it was already one and a half years ago. Time flies.”

Vincent snagged the role of a lifetime, trumping competition from across the globe as the director, Chad Stahelski who was also once Keanu’s stunt double, needed just the right person for the “huge blockbuster movie”.

He excitedly added: “It was fantastic to get the call. When I finished the call it was just like: ‘Is it real? Really? F**k yeah!’ That was a good memory.”

By the time the French martial artist got to set, some of the stunt teams had already been training for a year, and the gruelling 12-hour days made it suddenly far more real for the performer.

Vincent shared: “I arrived and Keanu was there, you realise that it’s a big movie. It’s a huge movie and it’s insane.”

John Wick: Chapter 4 is in cinemas from March 24.
