Kelly Clarkson performed Whitesnake‘s classic hit “Here I Go Again” on a recent episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
Clarkson, as usual was backed by her band Y’all, as she belted out the English rock group’s Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single.
“Though I keep searching for an answer/ I never seem to find what I’m looking for/ Oh Lord, I pray you give me strength to carry on/ ‘Cause I know what it means/ To walk along the lonely street of dreams,” Clarkson sang.
David Coverdale had originally recorded “Here I Go Again” for Whitesnake’s album, Saints and Sinners in 1982. Five years later, the power ballad was re-recorded for the band’s self-titled album. The single hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on October 10, 1987.
