Kevin Federline's Lawyer Just Issued a Statement on His Behalf About Britney Spears' Pregnancy

Britney Spears and her fiancé Sam Asghari are expecting their first child together, and pretty much everyone is thrilled—including Britney’s ex Kevin Federline. Kevin’s attorney (lol, k) issued a statement on his behalf to E! News, saying “Kevin is aware of the recent posting by Britney regarding her announced pregnancy and wishes her a happy and healthy pregnancy and congratulates her and Sam Asghari as they go through the excitement of planning parenthood together.”

Britney announced news of her pregnancy on April 11 in an Instagram post saying “So I got a pregnancy test … and uhhhhh well … I am having a baby.” Brit also noted that she “won’t be going out as much” to avoid intrusive paparazzi taking photos of her like they did during her previous pregnancies.

Meanwhile, Sam confirmed the good news after Britney’s post, saying “Marriage and kids are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect. Fatherhood is something i have always looked forward to and i don’t take lightly. It is the most important job i will ever do🙏”

Britney has been wanting another child for a while, something she made clear while addressing a Los Angeles court in June 2021, saying “I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told right now in the conservatorship I am not able to get married or have a baby. I have an [IUD] inside of myself so I don’t get pregnant. They don’t want me to have children—any more children.”

Fortunately, Britney has since been freed from her conservatorship and is able to make her own decisions about her body. A million congrats to her and Sam!
