Kim Kardashian, Kanye West's divorce still on despite reunion, more news

Kanye West’s new music sparks Kim Kardashian reconciliation buzz: ‘She’s focused on co-parenting’

On Aug. 5, Kanye West staged a second listening party in Atlanta’s Mercedez-Benz Stadium for his forthcoming album, “Donda.” Once again, his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian West — color coordinated with Kanye as she had been at the July event — attended with the former couple’s four kids. And once again, fans heard a very raw Kanye rapping about very personal matters. “I’m losing all my family / Darling come back to me,” he rhymed at one point, tacking a seemingly new follow-up on the line that had everyone at his first listening party talking. Another lyric left fans thinking a reconciliation could even be in the works for Kim and Kanye, according to CNN. “Time and space is a luxury,” he rapped, “But you came here to show that you’re still in love with me.” What’s more likely the case — at least according to a People source — is that Kim still wants to be the best co-parent she can be. And that means making sure her kids get to see their dad, who’s been holed up in the Atlanta stadium working like mad to finish and release the album. So she’s reportedly been traveling with the children to see Kanye. “He doesn’t want to leave Atlanta until his music is completed. … It’s very important to her that the kids spends as much time as possible with Kanye,” the insider says of Kim, who filed to end the marriage in February. “Kim is trying to be supportive. She is focused on co-parenting. Nothing has changed otherwise. They are still moving forward with the divorce.” As the SKIMS creator said on the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reunion special in June, she remains her ex’s “biggest fan.”

Ryan Reynolds reveals Blake Lively’s helped him with writing films including ‘Deadpool’

Turns out Blake Lively has been a secret writing weapon for Ryan Reynolds when it comes to screenplays. Speaking to Jess Cagle for SiriusXM’s latest “Town Hall” event, Ryan revealed his wife was the pen behind some of his favorite scripts’ great moments, including “Deadpool.” Asked to share something great about being married to Blake “that people wouldn’t expect,” Ryan told a fan she’s often swooped in and helped him with writing — though she doesn’t always get credit where she should. “I write on a lot of my movies,” Ryan explained. “It’s been a survival mechanism for me for a long time. Sometimes I’m credited, sometimes I’m not… There’s a lot of A++ writing that I’ve done that was actually Blake — that Blake would jump in, grab the keyboard, and ‘What about this?’ And I’d be like, ‘That’s incredible.'” As for the bylines she’s not getting? “I don’t know,” he mused. “Maybe it’s ’cause there’s inherent sexism in the business — I will say that a lot of times, ‘She wrote that — Blake like, wrote that not me. That was was her.’ And it’s like, they still, later on, repeat the story as I wrote it.” He added that she’s a “really talented, multihyphenate kind of person” in the “weird” industry the two share. “… And she’s helped me so much — in ‘Deadpool,’ all kinds of movies that have been big successes,” he said. According to EW, the teaser didn’t include examples; the full show airs Aug. 10.

Madonna’s daughter, Lola Leon says she paid for college herself

To appear on the cover of Vogue’s all-important September issue is to have arrived in the fashion world. This year’s behemoth issue features not one but eight young models at the top of their respective games who Vogue declares are “the models changing an industry.” And Lourdes “Lola” Leon — who joins Kaia Gerber, Precious Lee, Ariel Nicholson, Bella Hadid, Sherry Shi and Yumi Nu — uses her platform, in part, to assure readers she’s more than the “Madonna’s daughter” tagline that tends to precede her name. “People think I’m this talentless rich kid who’s had everything given to her, but I’m not,” says the 24-year-old. A graduate of New York City’s performing arts high school, Lola tells the magazine she paid for college herself. According to previous reports, that college was the Queen of Pop’s former school, the University of Michigan. Lola majored in the School of Music, Theater and Dance and reportedly did normal college kid things like living in a shared dorm and, as Madonna once said on the “Today” show, refusing to be seen with her mom at football games. Despite their shared love of performing, Lola’s still apparently determined to draw a line between her and her famous mother. Per Vogue, she spent part of the interview “[running] down a list of ways she’s independent from” Madge, including the fact that she lives in the artsy/industrial Bushwick section of Brooklyn, where she enjoys being relatively anonymous in the creative community … at least, as anonymous as the current face of Marc Jacob can be. Lourdes is the singer’s eldest of six kids; her dad is Madge’s former trainer (turned husband), Carlos Leon.

Cardi B praises Normani for helping her feel sexy while pregnant on the set of ‘Wild Side’

Cardi B is anything but self-conscious on songs like “WAP” and her new Normani collaboration, “Wild Side.” But as the rapper recently told Cosmopolitan, it took Normani’s help to get her feeling comfortable when the two shot the video for their track. Cardi, who’s expecting her second child with Offset, was a few months into her pregnancy on the set of the video, which gave her some anxiety, given the racy lyrics. “I felt so out of place trying to be sexy …,” Cardi recalled. “My body wasn’t feeling sexy and it was the first time in public where I was butt naked with a big a– belly. But Normani’s a natural dancer, so she was like, ‘Yeah, Cardi go like this, POW!'” Cardi even consented to go au naturel for the camera. “That was the only thing that made sense around that time because no clothes were fitting me nicely. I was around five and a half months pregnant, going into six months pregnant, so I couldn’t wear a bustier or waist trainer,” she explained. “My belly was in the way of every outfit I wore,” Cardi continued, so she decided the best move was to skip the clothes and use her hair to cover herself — and her tummy. “We just looked so beautiful and Normani was so nice … she made sure that the set was very private ’cause nobody knew that I was pregnant, and she kept giving me advice on how to look more fierce,” Cardi added. “Normani is just such a great person and I cannot wait for the world to see more of her.”

Jennifer Aniston responds to backlash about cutting unvaccinated people from her life

In her September cover story for InStyle, Jennifer Aniston said she’s cut some people out of her life because they either won’t get vaccinated against COVID-19 or won’t be honest about their vaccination status. The “Morning Show” star apparently got lots of feedback about the comments on social media after the story ran this week, so she hopped on social media herself to try to explain her perspective. “There’s still a large group of people who are anti-vaxxers or just don’t listen to the facts. It’s a real shame,” Jen told InStyle, in part. “I’ve just lost a few people in my weekly routine who have refused or did not disclose [whether or not they had been vaccinated], and it was unfortunate. I feel it’s your moral and professional obligation to inform, since we’re not all podded up and being tested every single day. It’s tricky because everyone is entitled to their own opinion — but a lot of opinions don’t feel based in anything except fear or propaganda.” On Aug. 4, Jen followed up by sharing a comment someone had written in response to the quote on her Instagram Stories. “But if she’s vaccinated she’s protected correct?” the person asked. “Why be worried about unvaxxed around her?” Jen answered the question directly, explaining: “Because if you have the variant, you are still able to give it to me. I may get slightly sick but I will not be admitted to a hospital and or die. BUT I CAN give it to someone who does not have the vaccine and whose health is compromised (or has a previous existing condition)—and therefore I would put their lives at risk. THAT is why I worry. We have to care about more than just ourselves.” In another post, she added, “What doesn’t kill you mutates and tries again.” The three vaccines available in the U.S. have all continued to prove effective at what they were designed to do — prevent severe illness and death. Vaccinated people can still contract the virus, though those cases remain rare, and transmit it to unvaccinated people.

Rihanna reacts to her newly minted billionaire status

This week, Forbes declared Rihanna’s amassed an empire that makes her a billionaire, thanks in large part to her Fenty lines. With an estimated $1.7billion net worth, Rih, 33, is also the wealthiest woman musician in the world. So how does she feel about the news? Blessed, apparently. In a video that’s since gone viral, the singer and entrepreneur is asked by a paparazzo what it means to be a “self-made billionaire.” Her response was just three words: “God is good.” Priceless.

Barbra Streisand reflects on Donald Trump vs. Joe Biden’s presidencies

After “four years in a black hole,” Barbra Streisand believes “the country is certainly headed in the right direction.” That’s how the EGOT-winner compared Donald Trump’s time in office to Joe Biden’s presidency so far in an extensive new interview with Variety. “Removing climate change facts from a website even? I mean, not being allowed to mention the phrase climate change …,” she said of the previous administration. “That was four years in a black hole. Unforgivable. Four years of people dying unnecessarily because they didn’t tell the truth. The truth is so important. Tell people the truth, they can deal with it.” Barbra, whose new album, “Release Me 2,” features 10 songs “from the vault” that have never been made public before, went on to marvel at the fact that even after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, there are still “lies … floating around about an election that Biden won by 7 million votes.” By contrast, Barbra said, she’s a big fan of our current president. “I love Biden. I love his compassion, his honesty, his integrity, his love of facts, not fiction,” she gushed. “He is a good-hearted soul, intelligent. Years in the Senate. I’m a big fan.” Her passion for politics, however, doesn’t mean she has any interest in running for office, which she said she’s “not qualified” to do. “I know my limits,” Barbra noted. “I’m a pretty smart person, but not that smart.”
