Kim Kardashian is putting a sultry spin on The Matrix aesthetic with some help of her beloved pantaboots.
The SKIMS mogul and reality TV star appeared in Los Angeles earlier this week wearing a skintight, all-black outfit composed of a strappy leather bra that bared her midriff and her wardrobe staple du jour—also known as her signature pantaboots.
She accessorized with statement pieces from Balenciaga, including the luxury house’s oversized butterfly sunglasses and a silver metallic iteration of its coveted hourglass mini bag.
Lately, Kardashian has been busy working on the launch of her new skincare line, SKKN, which arrived about a year after she shuttered KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance.
“What began as a psoriasis diagnosis became the catalyst for my journey of skincare discoveries, inspiring me to learn more about my skin and how to care for it,” she said of SKKN, which boasts nine refillable products thus far, in a press release. “Working with some of the top dermatologists and estheticians over the years has given me the incredible opportunity to learn from their expertise—and I knew I had to share my learnings.”
On Instagram, Kardashian revealed that her ex Kanye West played an instrumental role in the launch of SKKN—including coming up with the name.
“Of course, my creative process wouldn’t have been complete—and I always give credit where credit is due—without Kanye or Ye,” she said. “He brought his team and introduced me to Willo [Perron, a designer] and came up with the new name. That was actually his idea. And the packaging shapes were his and even the fonts he did, just like SKIMS.”
