KISS Break World Records For Pyro At New Year’s Eve Show

KISS has claimed the band’s New Year’s Eve show has broken the Guinness world record for the largest-ever pyro display and a world record for the highest-grossing pay-per-view event for a rock concert.

The “KISS 2020 Goodbye” concert, produced by Landmark Live, took place at The Royal Beach at Atlantis, Dubai, on December 31. The $10 million mega event, featuring more than 400 crew members, was filmed with more than 50 4K cameras and 360-degree views.

One of the Guinness World Records adjudicators who attended the event said that KISS set records for the highest flame projection in a music concert – at 35 meters.

“KISS2020Goodbye was an amazing and RECORD BREAKING experience! We’ve won the Guiness World Record™ for highest flame projection in a music concert and for most flame projections launched simultaneously in a music concert,” KISS said in a statement.

“Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible and everyone who tuned in live,” the band added on its website. They also posted a video of the display at www.KISS2020Goodbye.com.
