Kym Marsh poses with beloved dad on red carpet after incurable cancer diagnosis

Kym Marsh and her Strictly Come Dancing partner Graziano Di Prima appeared on the red carpet alongside the former soap star's mother and father on Monday.

Earlier this year Kym revealed how her beloved dad, Dave, had been diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer, hailing her dad her "hero" as he battles the disease.

The Strictly star, 46, looked stunning as she took to the red carpet at London's Grosvenor House at the star-studded Pride of Britain awards supported by dancing pro Graziano.

Wearing a gorgeous off-the-shoulder black gown embellished with sequins, Kym stunned as she posed for photos alongside her beloved family on the red carpet at the event.

The actress announced earlier this year that her dad had delayed going to the doctors due to the pandemic, ultimately resulting in cancer spreading to his pelvis, spine, ribs and left leg.

Earlier this month Kym revealed that her dad had started a brand new treatment as she shared an emotional video following his diagnosis.

Talking to her thousands of followers, Kym penned: "This is our wonderful Daddy. For people that don’t know, he has incurable cancer. But [he] is being treated by the amazing doctors and nurses at his local cancer centre to keep the horrible disease away for as long as possible.

"He started a new treatment. And although he will never get to ring the end of treatment bell to mark the end of his journey with cancer, he got to ring it to mark the beginning of a new journey of hope and to give him a chance to say… I’m fighting back."

She went on: "It was a truly emotional moment and he wanted me to share this video with you all to encourage anyone living with cancer, or the families and friends around them, to stand up and fight, never lose hope and make those little moments mean the most. This day meant the world to dad and it will be a day we never forget."

Kym ended her post: "Love you @daveyboy113 my hero."

During an appearance on Morning Live, which Kym hosts, her mum Pauline thanked everyone for their support throughout the devastating news.

She said: "Last week, that was the first time that we had Macmillan nurses on board which was brilliant, as I know I've got my family.

"I get upset sorry, I hadn't had any support from anywhere else and didn't know what to do.

"Dave didn't really understand his painkillers and how to take them and all that so they explained it all."
