The stylish beauties – Jade Thirlwall, 28, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 29, and Perrie Edwards, 27, – said: ‘Look at how far we’ve come, from when we use to speak about being feminist or anything political in the past.

‘I remember being on a red carpet and we panicked. We were terrified to speak back then… we were even told not to say we were feminist.

The singers agreed that they’d spent ‘far too long being patronised’ and seemed to all change their thinking at the same time, deciding to speak out on causes.

She said: ‘Saying nothing is worst, or you’ll never learn about any issues in the world. I love it when we speak out.’

To end their short video interview, the girls thanked Glamour for their award with Jade saying they’ve ‘worked hard on finding things were passionate about’.

Several winners were announced ahead of the ceremony, however among those revealed on the night was Victoria Beckham, 47, who exuded style in a selfie video.
