Little Mix insider says she’s ‘so sad’ to see 10 years of friendship end

One of Little Mix's biggest collaborators, Kamille, has said she feels "so sad" watching their fall out.

Jesy Nelson, who quit the chart-topping band in December after struggling with her mental health, has launched her solo career to much controversy.

The 30 year old's appearance in the music video for her debut single Boyz – which features Nicki Minaj – has come under fire from critics, accusing her of "blackfishing", which she denies.

Blackfishing is a term used to accuse someone of pretending to have Black or mixed-race heritage for their own gain.

Jesy's collaborator Nicki, 38, doubled down on her former bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock, also 30, who reportedly sent messages to TikTok user NoHun, in which she allegedly calls Jesy a "horrible person".

It is not known who amongst Leigh-Anne's entourage has access to her social media account.

Following this, Kamille – whose real name is Camille Purcell – has taken to Twitter to voice her opinion on the matter.

The songwriter, who is behind some of the group's biggest hits such as Black Magic and Shout Out To My Ex, wrote to her 34,200 followers: "This is all just so sad to watch, after 10yrs of fship."

Fans echoed the sentiments of the star, who appeared in Channel 4 reality show Highlife, with one writing: "10 years of friendship and it looks like everything was in vain. When you think you know someone… people can really surprise you."

A second added: Was out of order. Like you say Kamille 10 years of friendship. Clearly that meant nothing to her."

While a third commented: "I honestly couldn’t agree more. It’s really sad and all so heartbreaking at the same time. I wouldn’t never had expected any of this to happen."

However, others jumped to defend Jesy, with one writing: "Jesy looked uncomfortable the moment Nicki said something about Leigh she looked like bursting into tears she didn't say anything bad about instead she addressed the Blackfishing Jesy didn't laugh at Leigh she laughs in awkward situations you can clearly it was an awkward laugh."

Another wrote: "Girl, Jesy didn’t say anything wrong."

With a final fan commenting: "Leigh and Jesy are both at fault why blame one or the other."

Kamille's comments come after Little Mix's publicist Simon Jones called her and Nicki's live stream a "backfire".

Sharing a snap of the promotional picture for Leigh-Anne’s documentary, Race, Pop & Power, Simon wrote: “Anyway. Go watch this documentary again”.
