Louise Redknapp has been left stunned by the news that ex husband Jamie Redknapp is expecting a baby with girlfriend Frida Andersson, sources tell OK!
The former Eternal star has told pals she only heard that Jamie and Frida – who started dating 18 months ago – were expecting through family members and is shocked that the former football star will become a new father at 47 years old.
"Louise was knocked sideways by the news. Jamie didn't tell her directly, she found out through family," a source told OK!
"She's happy for them both and says life goes on but at the same time, she's shocked by how quickly he's moved on and that he'll be a new dad again at nearly 50. A new baby is always a joy but she is concerned at how it will impact their family dynamic."
Louise and Jamie married in 1998 and have sons Charley, 16, and Beau, 12, together. The couple announced their split in 2017.
Louise and Jamie did not respond when approached for comment.
Jamie and Frida's baby news was announced by sources to The Sun and eventually confirmed by Frida on her Instagram page when she replied 'thank you' to comments from fans.
"Lovely news on your new baby. Congratulations to both," wrote one, whilst a second added: "Congratulations on your new baby." Frida simply responded with a "thank you" emoji.
A source told The Sun: “Jamie and Frida are absolutely delighted. They’ve been virtually inseparable in lockdown, and their relationship has gone from strength to strength.”
Jamie’s girlfriend Frida, 37, has four children from her marriage to US hedge fund manager Jonathan Lourie.
“Jamie’s been telling pals he’s really excited to be a dad again — less excited about the sleepless nights, and nappy-changing.
“But both he and Frida will be brilliant, hands-on parents.”
Jamie and Frida have been dating for the past 18 months and they met after being introduced through friends.
Louise was reportedly left feeling "let down" by some of her friends after her separation from Jamie.
A source told new magazine: "Celebrity friends in particular seem to drop, they sometimes weigh up who they can get more out of.
"Louise felt the friends sided with Jamie. Showbiz can be a sad and shallow world, and people do tend to pick the side they can benefit from."
The singer opened up about how some of her celebrity friends stopped inviting her to gatherings after they separated.
“These women were my friends. We went on holiday together, went out for dinner together and shared countless special memories,” Louise wrote in her memoir, You’ve Got This.
"While they still enjoy couples’ nights out – birthday parties, Christmas dos, drinks and the like – I’m only invited for coffee."
