Louise Thompson gives health update after hospital readmission and seeing ‘reassuring doctor’

Louise Thompson has given her 1.4million Instagram followers a health update, saying she had seen a "very reassuring doctor" amidst her mental health battles.

The former Made in Chelsea star, 32, and her fiancé Ryan Libbey, 31, welcomed their son Leo-Hunter in November 2021, however due to complications, Louise was left in intensive care for five weeks.

After the traumatic experience, Louise was diagnosed with severe anxiety and has been open about her journey with PTSD.

She has been candid with her struggles since the traumatic experience, often posting images of herself crying on Instagram, with a recent post saying that she "wanted to die in a big way", when suffering from her lowest points.

Louise took to her Instagram stories on Friday to give her fans an update on her health as she thanked them for their well wishes.

Posting a snap of one of her dogs, Louise wrote: "Thank you so much for your well wishes. So many kind messages and recommendations.

She also revealed that she had seen a "very reassuring doctor", writing: "I saw a very reassuring doctor last night and I'm going to start biologics v soon".

She also added: "Started this morning with a therapy session over in Fitzrovia which was good,

"Hopefully I'm finally ready to do some good old fashioned talking therapy."

Just last week, on Tuesday 21 June, Louise took to her Instagram stories to tell her followers that her day had been going well before she suffered a breakdown that "came out of nowhere".

Alongside a snap of herself sobbing and in clear distress, Louise wrote: "And then I had an absolute catastrophic breakdown out of NOWHERE. It's like my brain thought I was full on dying again. Couldn't think straight or function for 40 minutes. Absolutely petrifying. Literally don't think I was triggered by anything.

"I had to take myself away because I don't like lowering the mood for Ryan or others and then I found some photos of myself as a child in my bedroom and I started screaming, 'Why did this have to happen to me?', feeling so angry and sad for my innocent vulnerable self. Honestly what is going on?"

She added: "My new anti depressant is quite good for sleeping so I take it in the evening and at least that helped me go to bed and reset to start today as a fresh new day, but WOW when I'm stuck in those moments I want to DIE in a big way."

Sharing another snap of her in tears, Louise said: "I honestly don't even have words to explain the suffering.

"I just keep telling myself to keep going because light is around the corner."
