Louise Thompson ‘shaken’ and focusing on mental health after horrific house fire

Sources claim that pregnant Louise Thompson is feeling "shaken" after the "devastating" house fire "terrified" her last week.

The Made in Chelsea favourite, her fiancé Ryan Libbey and her mum were involved in a fire when a wine cooler "exploded" in the middle of the night.

After the scary incident, Louise, 31, asked her fans to check their fire and smoke alarms were working, before she said on Instagram: "Hi guys, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone for reaching out and for all of your kind words."

Now, a source has told OK! that the mum-to-be is "terrified" of another incident happening as she comes closer to the arrival of her first child with Ryan, also 31.

"The house fire has really shaken her. She's played it down online but it was horrific," the source said. "She's been honest about her miscarriage and the ups and downs of her pregnancy.

"It's the last thing she needed to happen and it terrified her."

The source went on to say: "She's such a confident person but she is so scared in pregnancy. She wants her baby to be ok and she's terrified of anything happening."

Louise is believed to be trying to focus on keeping calm and spending her time with Ryan following the fire.

"She knows the best thing for her and the baby right now is to be calm so she's trying to keep her stress levels down and take time out to be with Ryan, take a pause from social media and just focus on her mental health," the source finished.

Louise revealed she was "pleased" that so many of her 1.3 million followers took her advice to ensure their homes are kitted out with working fire and smoke alarms.

Speaking about when the house blaze began, she shared on Instagram: "Thankfully myself, Ryan, my mum and the dogs are all ok.

"It was an absolutely devastating experience but we managed to get out with minimal damage to our health (including the dogs who we lost in the blinding smoke at one point).

"The emergency services were incredible and arrived in 2 minutes. Still probably in shock as it was pretty scary, and could have ended in a different outcome but we will get through it and be grateful for our luck."

Louise added: "A big wake up call as to what is really important in life," with a red heart emoji.

The star also spoke about Baby Loss Awareness Week with a picture of Tommy's charity Wave of Light candle to show her support.

Louise announced she and Ryan were pregnant back in May, months after she suffered from a miscarriage earlier this year.
