Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson has shared his thoughts on the latest Love Island drama as he claimed that the producers of the show have told Faye Winter to apologise for her behaviour last week.

Viewers were surprised in Monday’s episode as fans saw Faye begin to regret her explosive outburst and dumping of partner Teddy Soares.

The Made in Chelsea star wasn’t convinced that she had had a change of heart, posting to his Instagram story what he thought of her sudden change.

Filming his TV in the video, Sam said: "She's been told by the producers that she acted like s**t.

"And they might have even shown her? 'Cause the backtracking now is something I’ve never seen before.

"You don’t backtrack like that unless you’ve been told about yourself."

Sam’s partner, Zara McDermott, a former Love Island contestant herself in 2019, also agreed.

Zara can be heard in the background of the video saying: “That quickly as well.”

Fans were quick to agree with Sam as Tuesday night’s episode aired, with Faye going all out to try and repair the bonds she broke within the villa.

One viewer tweeted: “Not really here for this Faye redemption arc, she’s only realising she over reacted because the producers probably had words with her #loveisland”.

Another said: “Faye apologising to Teddy after producers make her #loveisland”.

While a third agreed: “The producers forcing Faye to be apologetic #loveisland”.

Faye had taken up nearly the whole of Friday’s episode runtime with her outburst as she stormed about the villa, getting into argument with not only partner Teddy but two of the other guys in the villa as well, Matthew McNabb and Dale Mehmet.

Her anger was sparked after she saw a clip of Teddy flirting with Clarisse Juliette while away in Casa Amor, despite his claims that nothing had happened.

Faye was seen backtracking in Monday’s episode as she reconsidered her behaviour after Teddy went on a date with new bombshell to the villa, Priya Gopaldas.

Speaking to Millie Court, Faye said: "I reacted in maybe a wrong way."

Later in the episode, new girl Priya said to Faye in the dressing room: "He is totally, like, 100 per cent, Faye."

Faye replied: "I dealt with things wrongly and need to sort that out between us."

Fans were angry at Faye’s initial rampage, causing Ofcom to receive complaints about her behaviour.

One fan at the time tweeted: “Disgusting behaviour. Producers need to step up and remove Faye immediately. Uncomfortable viewing.”

Another said: “This isn’t entertainment. Hence everyone complaining to Ofcom.

“No one was ‘entertained’ last night. It was uncomfortable to watch.”

While a third criticised producers for airing the footage at all, saying: “I’m heading to Ofcom. Producers never should have let that run.”
