Love Island star Mollie Salmon getting controversial ‘fox eye’ brow lift surgery

Love Island bombshell Mollie Salmon has officially revealed she intends to go under the knife this May as she transforms her look with a “fox eye” brow lift procedure.

The blonde stunner, who arrived in the Love Island villa last Summer, shared her plans with fans on social media, including her reasoning behind undergoing the controversial procedure.

Several other stars have undergone the procedure in the past, including celebrities such as Danielle Lloyd, Katie Price and Chloe Ferry – however experts have warned that the risks can far outweigh the benefits, with plenty of side effects including infection and even scarring more than possible.

These risks however haven’t deterred Mollie from chasing the look she dreams of, as she admitted in her post that she had done plenty of research prior to booking in for the procedure.

She wrote: "This is something I've contemplated for a very long time. And I've done my research to find somewhere in which I love their results.”

She then promoted the clinic she intends to use and offered a 20 per cent discount code to any fan hoping to follow in her footsteps.

”This has been something I've been sceptical about talking about surgery on my page, however, I always want to be honest with you guys," she continued. "I'll be documenting my journey for you all."

The Fox Eye lift will mark the first time Mollie has ever gone under the knife to alter her appearance, although she has previously admitted to using nose and lip fillers in the past.

The controversial cosmetic procedure, dubbed the ‘fox eye lift’, involves inserting biodegradable threads under the skin to lift the eyebrows and create a more almond eye shape.

Often touted as a minimally invasive procedure, the trend has seen a growing rise in popularity thanks to platforms such as TikTok and Instagram, but many people aren’t aware of the risks involved or the potential for permanent scarring, which is something Geordie Shore star Chloe Ferry experienced.

"I'm seeing this procedure becoming increasingly more and more popular. This may not happen to everyone but as I'm left with scars seven months later I just wanted to take to social media just to let everyone know what had happened to myself,” she warned fans.

Left with scars as a result of the procedure, Chloe bravely shared a series of makeup free selfies that showed the extent of the injuries, including the visible scars beside her brow bone

"I now have a dint in the side of my face," she lamented.

Delving deeper into the impact of the procedure, Chloe admitted that it had a negative effect on her mental health, and seriously knocked her confidence.

"I've know their [sic] is worse things going on in the world but thought I had to speak about it now with me being left with scars seven months on," she wrote on her Instagram Stories.

While the procedure is arguably less risky than a traditional face lift, like all medical procedures it does come with some very real risks that anyone considering the procedure needs to be aware of.

Alongside scarring to the temple and brow bone, the procedure can also damage the eyelid tendons, lead to folding and puckering of the skin, and in some cases even a loss of sensation in the area.

Such complications can also be very difficult to reverse, with some aestheticians advising against the procedure completely and advising anyone looking for a quick youthful pick me up to try a professional brow shape and lamination instead to help define the eyes without needing to go under the knife.
