Love Island star reveals baby news as girlfriend is pregnant with pair’s first child

Love Island star Biggs Chris has revealed that he is set to become a father, as his girlfriend, Sumerica, is pregnant with their first child.

Chris, 27, who appeared on Season six of Love Island in 2020, revealed the happy news with a sweet video compilation that he shared to Instagram.

In it, Sumerica could be seen in a black and white filter as she looked at her positive pregnancy test and broke down in tears.

She then set up her camera in the corner of the living room and left the pregnancy test wrapped up on the coffee table for Biggs to find.

After he discovered it, he looked floored and was momentarily rendered speechless before asking his girlfriend, hilariously: "Are you f*****g joking?" to which she replied: "No."

He then said: "You talk s**t," as she walked forward and pointed at the test and said: "I promise you. Look."

They could then be seen sharing a tender hug and a kiss as the happy news sank in.

In the next clip, the pair were on holiday and they were seen in the sea pushing a heart-shaped tray toward the camera, which floated along to show their scan snaps.

Sumerica could then be seen getting her first ultrasound scan at the hospital, and the joy was clear to see on her face.

Biggs captioned the post: "We’ve been keeping our little Blessing a secret."

His Love Island pal Luke Mabbott, who is engaged to Lucie Donlan, after meeting her on the show, wrote: "Me and lucie are so happy for you guys your going to be amazing parents!!."

Biggs replied to his comment, saying: "@lukemabbott love bro thank you."

Comedian Bash the Entertainer wrote: "Congratulations ma boy. God father bash. lol love you both can’t wait to spoil lil one xo."

Footballer Callum Jones said: "Congrats my man," whilst former Love Island star Tyler Cruickshank commented: "Congrats my brother!"

Another ex-Love Islander, Demi Jones wrote: "OMG!! Biggest congratulations!!"

Biggs is believed to have started dating Sumerica in 2021, not long after he split from his Love Island girlfriend, Rebecca Gormley, after a 19-month relationship.

He later cited the reason for the split being that Rebecca is a "party" girl, but he was looking to settle down and start a family.

He told The Sun: “We broke up because we want different things.

“Rebecca’s more of a party girl, but I want a family and business and just to work work work."
