Love Islands Dr Alexs incredible body transformation as he lifts for his mental health

Dr Alex has revealed he's had a bit of a 'glow up', in an Instagram post as he flexed his muscles and posed for a selfie.

While the former Love Island star admitted that he's been lifting weights to aid his incredible body transformation, he also admitted it's had a huge positive impact on his mental health too.

The 32-year-old smiled in his bedroom and captioned the topless photo: "I am grateful for why my body allows me to do. I am grateful for what my body allows my mind to feel.

I lift for my MH [mental health], wbu?"

Fans were eager to show their support of his transformation and left a comment, "Lifting and playing sport really helps me switch off and sleep better. Well done for inspiring others and being vulnerable. It matters. Sending love."

While there were lots of nods to his impressive appearance, many also agreed with his stance on mental health. A follower wrote: "100%. I really feel my MH slip when I've not been to gym for a while. Weight training really takes you out of your head and into the moment."

Another echoed this and mentioned Alex's adorable dog that could be seen lying on the bed in the background of the photo: "Absolutely! Lifting releases all those good chemicals! (Rolo does not look bothered by all this)."

This inspiring post follows Alex's recent campaign for skincare brand La Roche Posay where he revealed to his followers that he feels "so much happier and healthier than I have in a long time."

In another Instagram caption, where the star was pictured wearing a casual denim jacket, white T-shirt, cream trousers, and white trainers, Alex spoke about his admirable journey and complete change of lifestyle that not only allows him to see physical benefits, but mental ones too.

He wrote: “So Abby [Alex's assistant] said I’ve had a glow up recently, I still don’t really understand what it means but apparently it’s a good thing [laughing face emoji] I must admit, I am feeling so much happier and healthier than I have in a long time. It’s been a hard journey, but I am getting there.”
