Love Island's Gemma Owen went make-free to share a 'big reveal' with her excited fans – though it turned out the news wasn't quite so huge.

The daughter of former footballer Michael Owen rose to fame after appearing on this year's series of Love Island.

Gemma, 19, finished second place with her partner Luca Bish, 23, and since leaving the villa, the duo have been settling back into life in the UK.

Taking to her Instagram, Gemma teased fans that she was doing a 'big reveal'… and then admitted the big news was about the results of a poll on what she and Luca should have for dinner.

So this is the big reveal which is probably the biggest anti-climax ever," Gemma told her fans as she filmed herself.

"I did try and get a picture of the food but it really didn't look appetising at all – but we did get a Chinese."

Many fans may has suspected that Gemma's 'big reveal' had something to do with a new TV role, after she shared a snap from inside the Paramount offices.

Gemma was recently announced as an ambassador for Pretty Little Thing, becoming the first Love Island star to land this role since 2019 star Molly-Mae Hague, who has now gone on to become the brand's Creative Director.

Announcing the news, Gemma wrote on Instagram: "I am beyond excited to announce that I am now a @prettylittlething Brand Ambassador.

"I honestly feel truly flattered to have been approached by @umarkamani. It means a great deal to me that he trusts me to be a positive role model to PLT customers and an ambassador to his hugely successful brand."

She added: "It feels like a dream to be able to help design and create my own collections with PLT and I can’t wait to get started working with the talented team at the PLT HQ that have already made me feel so welcome.

"Thank you all for your support, without you guys this would never have been possible! I have lots of ideas and I can’t wait to share the journey with you all."
