Love Island’s Hugo Hammond ‘screamed’ at Apprentice star Lottie Lion after kiss rejection

The Apprentice star Lottie Lion has accused former Love Island star Hugo Hammond of screaming at her after she apparently rejected his advances.

Lottie, 22, found fame on the 15th series of BBC show The Apprentice, and former PE teacher Hugo, 25, became a household name when he starred on Love Island last year, in 2021.

Taking to Tik Tok, Lottie explained that she'd spoken to her lawyers to check that it was okay to make the video before she did, and she revealed that Hugo had invited her on a night out in Bristol last December with his friend in tow too.

Lottie began her story by saying: "When I got there, we started getting along quite well, we were buying quite a few drinks, having a bit of a dance, having a laugh.

"We’re both quite awkward people and I think on the TV show that I was on, I was kind of the black sheep and so was he, so we had a bit of bonding over that."

Lottie then described the moment that Hugo made his first attempt to kiss her as they sat down at a table in a club.

She said: "Now as we’re sat down, we’re having more of a laugh and he tries to kiss me, and despite the fact that we are getting on quite well, I was like 'I’m so sorry, but I’m not really feeling that'."

She continued: "Initially, he’s respectful, backs off, we carry on talking. Less than five minutes later, he tries again. Again, I’m like 'sorry, not interested' and then again he tries to kiss me and when I push him off of me, he screams in my face saying that I’d been 'wasting his time this entire f*cking evening and I’ve bought you drinks and got you drunk for nothing'."

Lottie said that Hugo then told her she was out of his league and proceeded to block her on social media, which she only realised the next day when she woke up.

Referring to the incident on the TikTok video Lottie said of Hugo: "I just think some men can be so entitled because of their positions in the media and you should always be careful if someone brands themselves the 'nice guy' because actions speak louder than words."

Earlier this month, Hugo was forced to deny “outrageous” claims of “inappropriate touching” made by his former fellow Islander Sharon Gaffka.

The Daily Mail reported that Sharon, 26, revealed recently that she no longer speaks to Hugo on the Saving Grace podcast.

She claimed he made jokes about her drink being spiked and also accused him of “inappropriate touching”.

Hugo took to his TikTok story, in a post that has since been removed, to deny the claims made by Sharon.
