Love Island’sMichael Griffiths has revealed that he made a dash to A&E when he struggled to breathe during his hay fever struggle.

The 29 year old told his followers that his Love Island pal Danny Williams rushed him to hospital when he felt like his throat had closed up and he needed medical attention.

Michael took to his Instagram story after his hospital dash to give an update, as he spoke from beneath a mask.

He said: "So, as you can tell my voice has gone back to normal, but I’ll give you a little update.

“My hay fever was so bad yesterday it was like my throat closed up. I did go to A&E thanks to Danny there, who took me to A&E. They quoted a six-hour wait. I mean, my throat’s closing up.”

He continued: "Anyway, they sent an ambulance, the paramedic called me, and then she said that I was of no concern – no imminent concern of harm – so she told me to just go to bed and chill out.

“So I took another antihistamine and I woke up like this. Oh yeah, it’s back."

He captioned the story: "I did have to sleep sat up though as recommended by the paramedic & my sister."

The star thankfully seemed to be feeling better on Tuesday as he headed for a gym session.

Michael shared a topless snap of himself to show off his physique on his Instagram page.

The former firefighter's photo saw him standing in a gym and flexing his muscles in nothing but a pair of tiny grey shorts.

As he shared the photo with his 1.1million fans he wrote in the caption: "Chipping away" followed by a sword emoji.

Former firefighter Michael is currently filming an exciting new show alongside his villa besties Chris Taylor, who recently split from Maura Higgins, Jordan Hames and Danny Williams.

The Love Island lads, who formed their bond after meeting on the fifth series of the dating show, moved into a bachelor pad in Essex last summer.

Discussing the upcoming project, titled Living The Dream, Michael told OK! in October: "We’re not exactly strangers to filming ourselves and being on camera and now MTV is giving us the chance to film our own show; giving viewers unfiltered access into parts of our lives you wouldn’t see every day."

He added: "Living with the boys has been a laugh and we can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been up to."
