Lucy Mecklenburgh has got honest with fans about how she found motherhood in lockdown.
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Lucy, 29, admitted it’s “hard to tell” if she suffered from postnatal depression last year.
Lucy and her fiancé Ryan Thomas welcomed their adorable son Roman together in March last year, days before Boris Johnson announced the first lockdown.
And almost a year on, Lucy has reflected on her first months as a mother as she was quizzed by fans during an Instagram question and answer session.

As she offered to answer questions from some off her 1.7million followers on her Instagram story, she was asked: “Did you suffer with any form of post natal depression x”.
To which Lucy, who recently shared Ryan Thomas’ most annoying habits, revealed: “Maybe It’s hard to tell with lockdown on top of being a first time mum.
“I love Roman more than anything in the world but I found being a new mum really tough.”
She continued: “Sleep deprivation is torture! Then add on that a global pandemic, a baby with allergies & tongue tie.
“Lockdown parents u deserve a medal,” followed by a yellow heart emoji.
Lucy also admitted she wished she had reached out for help with her sleep deprivation she was asked by one fan how she coped with a lack of sleep.
Former TOWIE star Lucy shared a photo of herself with mascara marks running down her cheeks as if she had been crying, while her baby son breast fed as she made the confession.
She wrote: “I didn’t! I wish I had reached out for help looking back. Please keep in contact with people who will support u and know it will 100% get better!
“Nap if poss, don’t worry about the cleaning it can wait & don’t worry if u can’t eve face getting out your pjs somedays. Sending u love super mama”.
Optimistic Lucy, who’s hubby-to-be Ryan Thomas gushed over her weight loss recently, looked forward to the future as she was asked what she was most excited for in 2021.
She revealed: “Normality! Seeing friends & family, taking Roman out, restaurants, atmosphere & lots of laughter!!!”

It comes after Lucy posed with her son Roman, hubby-to-be Ryan and his daughter Scarlett from his former relationship with Tina O’Brien and looked forward to the next year.
Lucy posted the family photo on her Instagram page, and opened up about her plans for a new outlook on life in 2021 in the caption.
She wrote: “Happy new year! Going into 2021 with a completely different outlook on life, I now know what’s really important,” followed by a red heart emoji.
