Made in Chelseas Maeva DAscanio poses in her underwear one month after giving birth to son

Whilst the gym is the last thing on most new mums’ minds, Made in Chelsea’s Maeva D’Ascanio is counting down the days until she can return to working out.

The 30 year old revealed this as she shared a short clip of her postpartum tummy on her Instagram stories.

She wrote in the caption: “1 month postpartum…we are getting there! I can start working out in 2-3 weeks”.

Finishing the point with a crossed fingers emoji, Maeva is clearly eager to return to her normal routine despite still recovering from the birth of her son Beau last month.

Having given birth only four weeks prior, the reality star looked incredible in the video as she showed off her stomach in a pair of underwear.

Wearing a cosy grey jumper and high-waisted black knickers, Maeva showed fans how her body has changed after having an emergency C-section.

Whilst the arrival of her son and the festive period should have been a joyous time for the brand ambassador, Maeva has had a tougher postpartum recovery than most.

The French influencer was ten days overdue and had to be induced, to ensure her and her little boy’s safety.

Despite the procedure occurring on Sunday, Maeva would give birth until after the weekend – with Beau arriving the following Wednesday.

When her bouncing baby boy did arrive, the new mum gushed about her fiancé and co-star James Taylor – whom she described as the “best daddy ever”.

The pair, who been together for three years, announced their engagement in April despite James admitting to kissing another girl in an episode of Made In Chelsea fans.

However, the couple had been looking forward to a new start with the arrival of their bouncing baby boy.

Heartbreakingly though, new mum Maeva was unable to enjoy her first Christmas with her son after contracting COVID-19.

Fearing that Beau would catch the virus, she made the heartbreaking decision to spend Christmas alone with her son staying with James’ parents.

Earlier today, Maeva updated fans and looked inconsolable as she sat alone in festive jumper.

She explained: "So, for the update, I have Covid. I am at home on my own. My little baby Beau is not here. I had to leave him to my mother-in-law because it's way more safe there for him because I know…”

Continuing, she told fans: "It's really hard to say. Some people say that babies can catch Covid, some say babies cannot catch Covid but, just in case, I prefer him to be there and be safe."

"I'm wearing a Christmas jumper though so…anyway…that was a s**t Christmas but it's fine. The next one will be better hopefully."

Here’s hoping mum and baby are reunited for the new year.
