Maisie Smith shows off stunning hair short transformation after leaving EastEnders

Soap star Maisie Smith has debuted a beautiful new look as she made a huge announcement on Tuesday.

The former EastEnders actress showcased a glamorous curly hairstyle as she appeared on BBC Morning Live to announce a new Strictly Come Dancing tour.

Maisie, 20, was joined by her Strictly co-star Rhys Stephenson to promote their new show Strictly Presents: Keeeep Dancing!.

They will embark on the new tour in the coming months.

It will see them perform in places such as the Corn Exchange in Cambridge and the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton.

Maisie, who is best known for playing Tiffany Butcher, wore a pink shirt and matching cowboy boots for her TV appearance.

She paired the shirt with a washed out black denim skirt which featured a slit up the back.

The actress, who is usually seen with long straight locks, finished her new look with gold hoop earrings and wore her auburn hair in a shorter, curly style – which is vastly different to her former character Tiff's go-to sleek look but gorgeous all the same!

Maisie appeared confident with her new look as she gushed about the upcoming tour. She said: "It's a brand new tour that has never been done before, which is very exciting.

"It's much more of a getting to know us, getting to know behind the scenes of how Strictly was made and it's more of an intimate show."

Maisie and Rhys, 28, will be joined on the tour by Neil Jones, Gorka Marquez, Jowita Przystal, Nancy Xu and The Wanted’s Max George, who will be performing live.

They will be performing the 35-show tour across the UK.

BBC Morning Live presenter Sam Quek, 33, quizzed the pair on the competitive nature of Strictly's professional dancers, asking if they all secretly want to win.

Maisie said: "They do ultimately want what's best for their partner.

"I feel like Gorka especially, he told me he never expected me to make it to the final."

She added: "He was just really happy that we got to experience the whole of Strictly together to the very end.

"I think he was competitive, but he was more just rooting me on."

Maisie also revealed just how welcoming the dancers were.

She said: "They're like a family. I think because they spend months together every single year, year after year, they've built such a wonderful friendship.

"It's so nice to be a part of that because they're very welcoming."
