Malin Andersson’s baby daughter is recovering from adult flu – leaving star ‘depressed’

Malin Andersson has revealed that she is feeling "so down" and "isolated" after taking care of poorly daughter Xaya before coming down with her own illness.

Sharing a statement via Instagram Stories, the 30 year old former Love Islander told fans: "Hi everyone, thx for the most insane amount of well wishes.

"Xaya was so so poorly and has just about recovered she had adult flu. Her tiny body couldn't cope and had a serious fever for over a week so was in hospital.

"I'm now ill. I have been at home the past 2 weeks with her. I feel so down and depressed and isolated. Have barely seen anyone and want Xmas out the way. I have no energy whatsoever and zero excitement for it. It's baby Consy's birthday tomorrow she would have been 4 years old. Mental."

Malin concluded her update with: "Anyway I'll come back on here soon I'm just not ok atm."

It was earlier this week that Malin's fanbase were originally alerted to the family's hospital dash.

The 30 year old shared the news that baby Xaya was "so poorly" and that she wasn't responding to antibiotics – finishing her post with a caveat that she'd be staying away from social media while the little one recovered.

Earlier this year, the reality TV personality described her newborn's personality as "very sassy" while simultaneously "calm" during an exclusive chat to new magazine.

"She can be fiery. She knows exactly what she wants and exactly when she wants it! But she also just loves to be hugged and touched.

"I appreciate her most when it comes to everyday things – like watching a movie or going for a walk. No longer do I have to do these things by myself because she's always there beside me.

"I’ve felt lonely for a long time, especially since my mum died, and have lived with an overwhelming sense of pain for years. But now I’ve got love. Xaya filled a massive void."

"I wanted her to be around to meet my children," added Malin, who also lost her father when she was only 13-months-old.

"Everyone needs their mum around when they start their own family, so I missed her deeply when Xaya was born, but I know that my mum would be super proud of me."

She currently co-parents with ex-boyfriend Jared, whom she split from just a month after their daughter's arrival.
