Megan Barton-Hanson has confessed she sees American model and TV personality Amber Rose as a role model.

The 27 year old, who recently said she slid into Maura Higgins' DMs but got rejected, opened up on how she gained the confidence to speak out about being an ex-stripper in an exclusive chat with OK! Online.

Working in partnership with LELO to create the first sex emoji, Megan explained that she was excited to go into partnership with the company because 37 year old Amber had done so in the past.

She said: "I love Amber Rose and she's always been an icon, like with her SlutWalk in the US.

"Everything she does for sex workers to empower women – helping people feel liberated to dress how they want, working in what they want, doing what they want with their bodies," she said before adding: "She's always been a role model for me."

While Amber, who worked as a stripped at the age of 15, is not the founder of the SlutWalk festival, she has been bringing more awareness to it in recent years.

The SlutWalk event calls for an end to rape culture, including victim blaming and slut-shaming of sexual assault victims.

Referring to the event that took place in 2018, where Amber wore a wedding gown, Megan continued: "I think her SlutWalk is the most iconic thing ever.

"Being slut-shamed for her stripper past and the way she brought all these sex workers together.

"I think the last thing she done was wear a bridal outfit because everyone was like sex workers are not wife material.

"I just think she's iconic and I think she's amazing with what she's done for the sex work community, for the LGBTQ+ community. She's just incredible, she's really strong."

Megan, who recently raved about her new garden as it got a gorgeous new glow-up, added: "I feel like if it wasn't for her, being so liberated and championing sex workers, I don't know if I would've walked in the villa and been like, 'Oh yeah, I'm an ex-stripper'.

"She gave me confidence to do that."
