Meghan Markle admits to being particular as being clear doesnt make you demanding

Meghan Markle has revealed she is quite "particular" but insisted that it doesn't make her a demanding person.

The 41 year old, who recently said it would be "great" if Archie and Lilibet pursued Hollywood careers, opened up on her behaviour in work situations while speaking on her Archetypes podcast on Spotify.

Mum-of-two Meghan explained that she gets frustrated over "cowering and tiptoeing into a room" due to the fear around how she could be perceived.

She said: "I'm particular, I think a high tide raises all ships, we're all going to succeed so let's make sure it's really great because it's a shared success for everybody.

"But I also find myself cowering and tiptoeing into a room and – the thing I find most embarrassing – when you're saying a sentence and the intonation goes up, like it's a question.

"And you're like, ''Oh my God, stop, stop like whispering and tiptoeing around it. Just say what it is that you need'."

She continued: "You're allowed to set a boundary. You're allowed to be clear, it doesn't make you demanding. It doesn't make you difficult, it makes you clear."

Despite this, Meghan recently came under fire by Hollywood actress Whoopi Goldberg, who claimed the Duchess made "other women feel bad" by saying her work on Deal or No Deal left her feeling like a "bimbo".

Whoopi, 66, made the comment during on talk show The View, following the release of Meghan’s previous Archetypes podcast episode on Spotify – titled Breaking Down The Bimbo.

In it, Megan and Paris Hilton, 41, discussed how the "blonde bimbo" or "dumb blonde" archetype flourished in the reality TV boom of the early 2000s.

During the podcast, Meghan said her time as a briefcase girl on Deal or No Deal, between 2006 and 2007, made her feel “objectified” and “not smart” – although she was grateful for the work as a struggling actress.

Now, film star Whoopi has weighed in on the debate and shared her skepticism at Meghan's claim. She said: “I don't know that the people who are sitting there are thinking about you like that. They're thinking, ‘I want the money’.

“The objectification might be coming from you and how you felt about how these women were being portrayed.

“That's what you have to change because we're performers. When you're a performer, you take the gig… sometimes, you're in a bozo suit, sometimes you got a big nose, and this is just the way it is.”

As the discussion continued, the panel said Meghan was within her rights to walk away from the show if that was how it made her feel.

Whoopi added: “My point is, if you see it and that's how you feel, just maybe, you don't want to make the other women feel bad because maybe they're trying to make a living, too.”
