‘People might say, “Why there?” Well, that was one of Olivia’s favourite places. She used to go there with her mum,’ Peter told hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur.

‘In fact, there is a park bench in the gardens there dedicated to her mum. And she used to live in Jolimont not far and they used to go there all the time.’

He went on to say the gathering would not be ‘a big all-star extravaganza like we saw with Shane Warne earlier in the year’.

‘It’s going to be much more serene, elegant, laid back. A time for reflection and that will be announced, I think, later this week,’ he finished.

It comes after Aussies came together for this year’s 5km Walk for Wellness held in Olivia’s honour on Sunday.

It’s the first time the walk had been held since the singer tragically lost her battle with cancer in August.

Her niece, actress Tottie Goldsmith, 60, attended the early-morning trek alongside radio presenter Lauren Phillips, 41, to raise funds for cancer research.

Tottie revealed on A Current Affair in August, her aunt’s health had deteriorated in the days leading up to her death and she was ‘really skinny and unwell’ before her passing.

‘It’s not a shock, we’ve known how sick she’s been, especially in the last five days,’ she told host Tracy Grimshaw of her passing.

Tottie then went on to reveal her heart-wrenching final moments with Olivia, continuing: ‘I couldn’t get to America in time and I wanted to say goodbye, so I asked [her husband John] if he could hold the phone up to her ear.

‘He got me on FaceTime so I managed to see her.’

Olivia died in August after a brave and public decades-long battle with cancer in which she was diagnosed three times in 1992, 2013 and, for a final time, in 2017.
