Fans of Ex On The Beach may have to wait a little longer for the new series as it has reportedly been pushed back by four months.

The MTV show, which is being filmed in Colombia, was supposed to be beginning production at the end of February but as a result of the new Covid-19 travel restrictions, the show has been rescheduled for June.

Stars such as Jack Fincham and Georgia Steel, who are expected to take part, may be reconsidering the show as there is said to be a concern over whether they can make the new dates.

A source told The Sun: "Ex On The Beach has been pushed back from February until June because of the pandemic.

"It's one of MTV's popular shows and they are determined it can go ahead.

"But this scheduling change has caused headache for the bookers, who've been hard at work securing celebs for the show," the insider expressed.

"Jack Fincham and Georgia Steel have signed up to take part, along with their exes, but now it's all up in the air as they may not be able to make the new dates.

"Those working on the show have a raft of talent they still want to tap up however so they do have a back up plan should people have to drop out."

The source concluded: "Getting a show of this magnitude off the ground isn't going to be easy but the team behind Ex On The Beach think they can make it work."

Similarly, another show of MTV's that is said to be thrown into chaos is Geordie Shore's anniversary special which is also being filmed in Colombia.

Due to the new travel restrictions, stars of the show would have to self-isolate in a hotel for ten days when they reach Colombia, and another ten days when they come back to the UK.

A different source told The Sun: "It's caused utter chaos and the cast have all kicked off – some are threatening to quit over it.

"The thing is, it's almost added a month onto the job and while it will be fun to film, it means some of them have had to cancel important jobs and won't be able to see their boyfriends and girlfriends for an extra two weeks after being away for filming."
