Peter Andre has opened up about living in Japan, recalling a time when a Japanese mafia boss started yelling aggressively at him and tensions started to rise.
Singer Peter, 50, said the experience left him "petrified" as hee described the “dangerous” situation as “a little too close for comfort”.
He told The Sunday Times: "On this particular night, this man just started yelling at me really aggressively and it turned out he was a member of the Japanese mafia, the Yakuza.
"I had no idea what he was saying but apparently it was a demonstration of his authority.
“I was petrified but fortunately the situation didn't escalate."
Peter was signed to a record label at just 16 years old, since then he has toured the world, singing all over Europe and America. Andre also spent time in Malaysia and Indonesia.
He also has many fond and funny memories of traveling around the world during the height of his musical career. One memory was even sharing a naked sauna with the Backstreet Boys in Germany.
He recalls heading to the sauna with the band and realising everyone else was fully naked.
Peter said: “We all just looked at each other giggling."
The Mysterious Girl singer celebrated the milestone birthday of hitting 50 last month, and celebrated by enjoying a surprise birthday meal, complete with a private chef over the weekend after jetting back from Dubai.
Peter’s wife Emily shared a video of the lunch surprise, starting by panning around the room showing the incredible decorations which included a giant lit-up "50" and silver, black and white balloons everywhere.
Above the French doors to the garden was a "happy 50th birthday" sign next to a Tuxedo cake, made by T&R Bakery, on a shiny gold pillar. The impressive cake was a 6-level vanilla sponge cake filled and coated with T&R Bakery's vanilla specialty buttercream.
In a post she gushed over her husband, sharing adorable selfies of them together over the last decade.
She captioned the images: "Happy birthday to my lovely lovely hubby. It's your 50th birthday and your 11th since we've been a couple! Time truly flies when you're having fun. Thank you for everything you do for our family, we all love you so much xxxxxx"
The family also partook in some early celebrations in Dubai last month to celebrate Peter hitting the milestone.
