Post Malone Covers Braid Paisley, Sturgill Simpson At ‘We’re Texas’ Benefit Concert

Post Malone took part in Matthew McConaughey‘s “We’re Texas” benefit concert on Sunday, with his performance including covers of some of his country favorites.

“Hey guys, it’s Posty,” Malone told the virtual audience before kicking off his set. “We’ve got a couple great musicians and we’re just here to play some of my favorite country-esque tunes.”

Malone began with a performance of Brad Paisley‘s “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)” accompanied by members of Dwight Yoakam‘s band.

The hip-hop superstar also performed a version of the song “You Can Have the Crown” by Sturgill Simpson.

Held on Sunday, March 23, the concert aimed to raise funds to help those who were affected by the Texas ice storms in February.
