Following the news that Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer would be interviewed as part of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Piers has shared a revelation about Keir’s opposition. The broadcaster claims that after hoping to interview Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the PM “declined”.
Our fearless Prime Minister prefers to hide in fridges than be interviewed by me.

Over the past year, Piers, 56, has made no secret of his frustration over the Government, criticising them daily for refusing to appear on Good Morning Britain during the height of the coronavirus pandemic.
The former co-anchor of the breakfast show claimed that Government officials had declined to appear on the show to answer vital questions.
Piers famously clashed with Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Matt Hancock, over the cabinet’s handling of the pandemic.
While Piers may no longer be fronting Good Morning Britain, the former newspaper editor still hopes to hold the cabinet to account.
It was announced on Saturday that Keir, 58, would be taking to the hot seat to discuss his early life as well his progression to leading the opposing party.
Speaking about the news, Piers said: “It’s very unusual for party political leaders to submit themselves to such lengthy personal interviews and I am delighted that Sir Keir has agreed to talk to me about his fascinating life.
“It promises to be a memorable and very revealing Life Stories show.”
Katie Rawcliffe, ITV’s head of entertainment added: “Piers Morgan’s Life Stories offers a detailed, personal look at some of the most famous characters around the globe.
“Piers is fantastic at getting people to open up about their lives, loves and losses. Sir Keir Starmer promises to be a real treat.”
However, in light of the news that the Keir would be discussing his life and law career, Piers had hoped that Mr Johnson would also take the opportunity to divulge into his life before he became Prime Minister.
Taking to Twitter in view of his 7.9 million followers, the dad-of-four wrote: “To those asking if I’ve also invited @BorisJohnson to do Life Stories… Yes, of course, but he declined.”
Going on to reference the moment Mr Johnson hid in a fridge reportedly to avoid speaking to ITV reporter, Jonathan Swain on GMB, he added: “Our fearless Prime Minister prefers to hide in fridges than be interviewed by me.
“So, full respect to @Keir_Starmer for having the bottle to do it.”
Boris had been delivering milk in the marginal seat of Pudsey, West Yorkshire at the time, during his whirlwind tour of electoral battlegrounds ahead of the 2019 election.
Piers then issued a direct appeal to Mr Johnson, saying: “I’ve known you for 25 years, what’s the matter with you? You’re a good bloke normally, you have no problem with interviews, you bluster your way through them.
“Why would you rather look like a bottle job?”
The latest instalment of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories will be the first time Piers has appeared on the network following his decision to walk away from Good Morning Britain in March.
His decision to part ways with the programme came hours after he aired his views on Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s claims that she battled with her mental health during her time as a senior working royal.
Hours after her controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, Piers slammed the former actress, saying he wouldn’t believe her, even if she issued a weather report.
Express.co.uk has approached the Prime Minister for further comment.
Piers Morgan’s Life Stories with Keir Starmer will air on ITV and ITV Hub soon.
