Prince Charles has been spotted helping his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, with her face mask during a sweet moment at the Royal Ascot.

The 72 year old, whose nickname coined by Kate Middleton was recently revealed, arrived at the Ascot Racecourse on Wednesday 16 June to attend the presentation of The Prince of Wales Stakes.

Charles arrived wearing a dapper grey suit with a matching blazer, a lilac tie and a pair of smart black shoes. He teamed the look with a purple flower and a handkerchief placed delicately in the jacket pocket, alongside a black top hat and matching face mask.

His loving wife Camilla looked gorgeous in a bright yellow shin-length dress which she paired with matching shoes and a stunning pale yellow sun hat.

The 73 year old, who recently shared an intimate moment with the Queen as a lip reader figured out their conversation at the G7 summit, donned a set of pearls around her neck alongside some dangling earrings, a bracelet and several rings. She carried a matching purse, keeping all her valuables close by for the summer event.

As the couple arrived, Camilla appeared to struggle with her yellow face mask and seemingly couldn't put it on correctly.

Prince Charles came to the rescue as he stopped to concentrate on helping her place it on correctly, ensuring she keeps safe amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The pair then carried on walking through the grounds before taking the masks off to pose in front of a selection of expensive Longines watches.

It comes after Prince Charles recently spoke out about the arrival of his fifth grandchild Lilibet for the very first time.

When asked about Lilli's arrival at the BMW mini factory in Oxford in early June, he said it was "such happy news".

His son Prince Harry, 36, and wife Meghan Markle, 39, welcomed their second child Lilibet "Lili" Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on 4 June.

The couple, who are also parents to two year old son Archie, chose the name Lilibet in honour of the affectionate family nickname of her great-grandmother, Her Majesty The Queen.

Meanwhile the middle name of Diana was selected to honour her beloved late grandmother, Princess Diana, who died in 1997.

A message from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their Archewell website, read: "On June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili.

"She is more than we could have ever imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we’ve felt from across the globe. Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family."
