The Duke of Cambridge joked that his wife Kate Middleton was ‘broody’ today as she cuddled babies in a school in Glasgow.
Prince William and Kate toured St John’s Primary School in Inverclyde as part of their two day trip in Scotland.
The Royals were visiting the school on Wednesday to learn about a new project which aims to help children’s emotional empathy.
School children in the project will learn all about human development by interacting with a mother and her baby.
The future King and his wife met pupils at the school, sang with the children and Kate cuddled an adorable baby boy.
Before the visit, Prince William joked: "Can you get my wife out of here before she gets broody?"
She was later snapped holding a ten month old, who had been taking part in the project.
One mum said she has been bringing her baby to the school as part of the sessions, called Roots of Empathy, which is run by Action for Children.
Kate is a patron of this charity which aims to help young people and vulnerable children.
The royal couple got stuck into the activities and sat cross-legged on the floor, watching the tot crawl across a mat.
They both sang nursery rhymes with the seven year olds, and enjoyed doing the hand movements to Incy Wincy Spider.
The Duchess of Cambridge wore a sophisticated blue top with navy tailored trousers while learning about the sessions.
Action for Children, who run the programme in 18 Scottish local authority areas, say that the sessions help improve pupil's behaviour.
They guide the children in discussions about emotions, and those involved have been kinder as a consequence with less instances of bullying.
Kate asked the children: "Do you think lots of schools should have a project like this?"
Some of the children said: "Yes."
To which she replied: "We do too".
She later met a mum and her adorable son, who is turning one in June.
The Duchess briefly held the tot before he decided he wanted his mum again and reached his hands out.
The Cambridge's', otherwise known as Earl and Countess of Strathearn in Scotland, are visiting the country as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee tour.
Their stops are all focusing on mental health.
They have also visited a housing group project by The Wheatley Group, which focuses on helping vulnerable people and those at risk of being homeless.
They are next stopping at Glasgow University to discuss mental heath with staff and students.
Then they will hear about the work from researchers at the school of psychology and neuroscience.
