Princess Beatrice and husband Edo christen baby girl Sienna in private ceremony

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have reportedly christened their daughter Sienna in a private ceremony with close family.

The 33 year old royal welcomed her first child with her other half in September 2021 and has often shared photos of her little one across her social media.

Now, seven months after Sienna's birth, it's understood that Beatrice and her husband Edo, 38, who recently rubbed shoulders with Swedish royals in a joint engagement, have christened their baby at Chapel Royal, St James' Palace on Friday 29 April, according to Mirror.

It's been said the family of three were surrounded by family, including Beatrice's sister Princess Eugenie, 32, and their mum Sarah, Duchess of York, 62.

The date of the christening had a special connection to the Royal Family as it was also Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding anniversary. However, it is not known whether the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the ceremony.

So far no photos have been released of the family event and OK! has gone to Beatrice's representatives for further comment and detail around it.

Beatrice and Edo, who married in secret in front of the Queen at Windsor, welcomed their girl on 18 September and the Royal Family shared a statement, which read: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.

“The baby weighs 6 pounds and 2 ounces. The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.

“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice posted her own statement on her Twitter page to share her baby joy and thank the medical staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she gave birth.
