Princess Eugenie Enjoys an Adorable Park Day with Her Son, August

Princess Eugenie and her son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, stepped out for a sweet outing in London’s Green Park today. According to her latest Instagram post, the mother-son duo were visiting a new art installation by CoExistence that features 100 life-size elephant sculptures.

Made from lantana camara, an invasive plant species, the art pieces intend to shed light on “human encroachment on wild spaces and the inspiring ways we can coexist with animals.” Eugenie, a patron of the nonprofit Elephant Family, was eager to see them in person with her baby boy and shared moments from the visit with her followers.

“A giant herd of 100+ elephants has arrived in Green Park to share their @coexistence.story with London this summer,” she wrote. “As a Patron of @elephantfamily and an honorary Matriarch it’s my pleasure to share this journey with you.”

It turns out that one of the sculptures shared a name with her son too. “Within The Tea Timers herd is a wonderful baby elephant called Assam August – and it was such a pleasure to take my August to meet him 🐘,” Eugenie added.

Eugenie welcomed August, her first child, in February with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. “Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express,” she said of their newborn at the time. In the months since, the new mom has shared precious moments with her child on social media, from doting Mother’s Day posts to adorable father-son snapshots with her husband.

Baby August will soon have a cousin as his aunt, Princess Beatrice, is expecting her first child. In a note on Instagram, sister Eugenie said that she “can’t wait to meet the little one.” We’re sure August can’t either.
