Ronan Keating and his wife Storm Keating have admitted they’re “Christmas mad” as the pair chatted exclusively to Express.co.uk about what they’re planning this year. The couple, who often share their lives on social media, have explained it’s a special time of year away from their “hectic lives”.

Ronan said: “Christmas in our house is all about the family.

“It’s all about us all being around each other and just the warmth and the downtime.

“We live a pretty hectic, mad life most of the year and Christmas is quite precious to us.”

The Boyzone star admitted they “clear the diary” to make sure they can enjoy the time of year together.

He added: “We make sure that we keep the diaries clear and it’s all the family, the kids and ourselves together and extended family if we can.

“Touch wood we get to spend time with the Australians, hopefully, some of the gang are coming.”

Storm and Ronan have two children together, who are Christmas mad as well.

The Irish singer is also father to three children from his previous marriage to Yvonne Connolly.

The family go all out for the holiday as Storm admits they have multiple trees up around the house.

She added: “I take the decorations quite seriously.”

The One Show host Ronan then admitted: “We’ve got quite a few Christmas trees.

“We try to create a scene and an atmosphere as you come in the door.”

However, the couple who wed back in 2015 admitted they don’t always see eye-to-eye on decorating.

Ronan admitted: “I would put lights everywhere. I like lots of lights and twinkles.

“I’m of the mind of putting it all up first, and then Storm tells me to take it down.”

Ronan and Storm were chatting amid their collaboration with luxury artificial tree brand Balsam Hill.

Storm explained how it was a “perfect fit” for them as they love the season.

She added: “This collaboration was actually a really good fit because between myself and Ro we’re super Christmas mad.

“I don’t even know if they could have picked another couple who are more crazy about Christmas and decorations.

“Ro even had a snow machine last year for the kids.”
