Rylan announces he's getting rid of his iconic teeth and it's the end of an era

Rylan Clark-Neal has revealed he’s waving goodbye to his trademark teeth – or at least the current version of them.

The toothy TV personality, who found fame on The X Factor in 2012, has been known for his impressively white veneers since he got them in 2013.

Taking to Twitter on Monday afternoon, the Strictly: It Takes Two presenter wrote: ‘After 8 years. It hurts, so much, but sometimes you just have to let go. I’ve taken the decision to say goodbye… to my teeth,’ with a laugh-crying emoji.

He added: ‘New smile imminent’, alongside a grinning emoji.

His ultrabright beam was said to have set him back an eye-watering £25,000, but the 33-year-old has always shown a good sense of humour about his gnashers, even thanking Love Island’s Connor Durman for ‘taking the heat off me a bit’ when the toothsome reality TV contestant was introduced to viewers in January 2020.

His tooth transformation decision may well have been a long time coming, with the Big Brother star admitting as far back as 2016 that his pearly whites were his ‘biggest mistake’.
