Rylan Clarke and Alexandra Burke sweetly cradle her baby bump as X Factor pals reunite

Former X Factor stars Rylan Clark and Alexandra Burke reunited as they attended an event in London on Monday evening.

Alexandra won the singing series back in 2008 while Rylan finished in an impressive fifth place during the 2012 season – and both have gone on to have successful careers.

And the pair couldn't wipe the smile from their faces as they attended the Melissa Bell Foundation and Style For Stroke Foundation at The Windmill Soho.

Television presenter Rylan cut a stylish figure as he sweetly cradled the pregnant 33 year old's blossoming bump, that she dressed in a stunning black evening dress.

The number hugged Alexandra's curves and boasted a glamorous feathered hem that showed her strappy black and silver high heels.

Alexandra completed her look by piling her locks into a high topknot, with a few loose tendrils framing her striking features.

Her good pal Rylan matched her in an all-black ensemble that consisted of a satin button-down shirt and suit.

Rylan was pictured animatedly laughing as he cradled the Bad Boys hitmaker's growing bump, who was also seen giggling for the cameras.

In a post on Valentine's Day, Alexandra announced she is expecting her first child with her footballer partner Darren Randolph.

The mum-to-be revealed she is due in June as she shared the news on Instagram with her 243,000 followers through a video.

News of Alexandra and Darren's relationship broke in May 2021.

Meanwhile, Rylan was recently rushed to hospital following a mystery illness.

The star returned to social media, where he said he was on the mend but did not reveal the cause of his hospitalisation.

Last year, Rylan revealed he was hospitalised following his split from his husband, Dan Neal.

Reflecting on the split, Rylan revealed: "I didn't think I'd be here. I didn't think I could continue."

And when asked by The Observer if he meant continuing to work or to live, he said: "Both. I didn't think I'd actually come back. I was very… gone."

He added: "I'm the last person that my friends would ever believe could feel as low as I did. Superficially, on paper, I can look after myself, but actually, in that moment and for months after, none of the money or the fame mattered.

"I did not know myself at certain points. I was having thoughts and doing things that made me… f**ked up, for want of a better word.

"I didn't understand why I was doing that to myself. So, I went away for a bit."
